Cove 55 - Santubong

Cove 55 is a luxurious private boutique hotel at the foot of Mount Santubong, an undiscovered paradise near Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.

Built originally as a private home for an Iban family, the sprawling property is now reborn as an intimate retreat with 13 rooms, 2 suites and 13 villas. It offers an infinity pool facing the South China Sea, Pool Bar, fully equipped Fitness Centre and free Wi-Fi access in its public areas.

The Iban owners’ heritage and diverse culture is evident in everything from the cuisine to interior design. Some villas have private ocean-view pools, while others have a private outdoor mangrove deck. Rooms in the main building either have balconies or private courtyards, as well as ensuites with rain shower.the luxuriously decorated rooms offer air conditioning.

The team at Cove 55 can arrange a number of tours during your stay, including to Sarawak Cultural Village, Semonggoh Orangutan Sanctuary, Bako National Park and Satang Island turtle conservation centre.

With so much unspoilt beauty surrounding Cove 55, it is surprisingly easy to reach. Guests can flyKuching Airport on international carriers such as AirAsia, Malaysia Airlines and Scoot before an easy and scenic 40-minute drive to the hotel.

The hotel day starts from hour 15:00 and ends at 12:00.

From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied toforeign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted.
